Born in 1953, Joseph Ntensibe demonstrated an exceptional talent for artmaking from an early age. He secured a scholarship to attend the renowned Makerere University School of Fine Art in Kampala, Uganda, where he honed his skills through experimentation with diverse mediums. He subsequently developed a painterly practice centred on the theme of environmentalism which is echoed in the organic forms illustrated in the present work.
