With a diploma in Painting and Art History, Muraguri graduated top of his class from the Buru Buru Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA). A popular painter and sculptor, he has held a studio at Kuona Trust in Nairobi since 2005. He recently completed a 3 metre long world map for the foyer of the PwC building in Nairobi made entirely from found objects.
Muraguri is a painter, sculptor and printmaker: this giant woodcut print is the first in an edition of two and the final in his popular ‘Matatu’ series, where Muraguri explores the culture of public transport in Nairobi.
