The 7th Modern and Contemporary Art Auction East Africa was held on Friday 6 March 2020 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Elgon Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
The 7th Modern and Contemporary Art Auction East Africa 2020 is our largest to date, with 70 Lots going under the hammer from seven countries including three charity Lots. We auctioned some important secondary market modern art dating back to 1975 and some exciting contemporary works from Kenya, Uganda and Egypt as well as more sculptures than previous editions. Auctioneer, Chilson Wamoja, took our sale again this year.
Once again we witnessed a highly successful sale with over KSH 23 million going under the hammer, over 75% of lots sold and intense bidding for this year’s stand out lots.
We are grateful for continued partnerships with the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glenfiddich and Hendricks Gin.
