Medard Bizimana

Medard Bizimana is one of Rwanda’s most prominent artists, with a career spanning more than three decades. Bizimana is predominantly a sculptor, working in wood, metal and stone to create sculptures that depict certain mental and emotional states. Bizimana has exhibited his work regularly in Rwanda including a solo exhibition at the Rwandese Art Museum. He has also shown internationally in Gabon, Nepal and China where he made three large scale public sculptures.
