Joseph Ntensibe demonstrated an exceptional talent for artmaking from an early age. He secured a scholarship to attend the renowned Makerere University School of Fine Art in Kampala, Uganda, where he honed his skills through experimentation with diverse mediums. He subsequently developed a painterly practice centred on the theme of environmentalism which is echoed in the organic forms illustrated in the present work.
Ntensibe’s paintings have regularly been included in international auctions and fetched significant prices.
‘I like to use all these beautiful colours from the rainbow, and I try to make them harmonise with everything’ – Joseph Ntensibe.
